With the massive trend of bands playing the ancient style of death metal there are bound to be a few not jumping on that bandwagon. Dont get me wrong, i do enjoy many of those bands, but like everything nowadays it has become oversaturated. Sectu arent busying themselves playing Entombed songs and calling them their own, instead they opt for a more modern sounding approach. The production is excellent as is the musicianship, the songwriting is far from mediocre, and the closest comparison i can come up with is mid era morbid angel, which i personally love. There was a time when a band like Sectu would probably make more waves, sadly they will probably have to bust their asses to remain middle tier death metal.
