Aside from Napalm Death, Repulsion, Cretin and a few others, truth be told ive never been much of a grind fan. Maybe its the punk aesthetics that just dont do anything for me. But give it a death metal edge and it goes down so much smoother (for me at least) and thats what Anarchus do. Maybe its also because they are Mexican that interests me (many, many of my favorite bands hail from Mexico) and the fact that Scott Burns produced this at Morrisound (though you couldnt tell) also grabbed my attention per usual. But despite all that, this is a raw and straight for the throat vicious grind EP. Just fucking rabid, frothing at the mouth type aggression. I suppose i should mention it was released in 1990, and their first proper recording, now legendary.
