Those not familiar with Germany's Blood should familiarize themselves as soon as possible. Always underrated and under-appreciated Blood did manage to carve themselves a niche in the European death/grind scene. Those who have not heard Blood might be surprised to learn that they have been around since 1986 and released their first full-length in 1989. Over the years they had assembled quite a massive discography with seven full-length albums, four EPs, they appeared on eight split albums and released seven demos. So how did this band fly under the radar for so long? It's gotta be the lack of label support. 1992's "Christbait" and the follow-up, 1993's "O Agios Pethane", what I consider to be the gems of their discography, were both released by 1 MF records. I don't think I could name another band who's material was released by 1 MF records. Thankfully, both releases were re-released by Leviathan records in 2000. If you have missed out on the supreme awesomeness that is Blood thus far in your wretched, meaningless life, then give your life some meaning and check them out now.
