Do I really need to state the obligatory "not the hair band" that most people say when mentioning this particular band? I hope not, although I think I just did...
Rest assured, there isn't any faggotry to be found here (BTW fuck you Wanda Sykes, if I feel like saying something is gay I'm gonna fuckin say it). This is a thrash masterpiece from a band that was sadly only around long enough to release one full length album. Strappado is the true definition of a cult classic. Pounding drums that rattle your brain, catchy and filthy as fuck fretwork and aggressive vocals all combine to form twelve tracks of pure malevolence. There have been a few other really good Canadian thrash metal bands, Sacrifice and Razor to name a couple, but I'd consider Strappado to be the best thrash metal album to be released by my neighbors to the north. So what's the best thrash metal album to be released on U.S. soil? I'll tell you later. For now, bang your head to some Slaughter. It's thrash the way the God's created it.
