Technical death metal here featuring one of my favorite drummers, Richard Christy. He was in this band the exact same time as he was in death, matter of fact he would sometimes rehearse with both bands on a daily basis after work (he was working as an electrician at the time) but thats Richard for ya. Now, lets get something straight. When i say technical death metal, that shouldnt scare ANYONE away, the term even, should not. We all know a few years back everyone and their fucking sister was in a "tech death" band, and the scene got way too crowded with shit bands that thought noodling away over blastbeats for 45 straight minutes was a quality album. But that doesnt mean that the only cool bands left are the ones that rip off entombed. Ive always been a fan of death, atheist, cynic, pestilence etc. and forward thinking death metal in general. Anyways, enough ranting, what we have here is the master Richard Christy dazzling us all with his jazzy fills, blastbeats, tasteful double bass, he does it all. Vocals are pretty standard and will not be the highlight of this album, while the guitars do an awesome job of weaving around the drums and shredding out some great solos. Atheist and Death fans should love this.
