Shashthi, the 6th

Shashthi was the quintessential meeting up at the Durgabari, one of the two hottest meet-up spots for the city youth. Then of course, grooving to the dhaaks( which I honestly consider the best part of Pujo.)The Cornettos, the bhopus, the 'Amplifier' played on full volume in a car full of uber-cute guys, who incidentally, couldn't get enough of ogling us. :P Then the long walks, the crowds, the glow, the pandals, the idols, more cute guys, the cigarettes, the pictures.

Me and Onu outside the Ballygunge Cultural Pujo.

Double chocolate love. (Do you like my new Tote with the Betty Boop print?? :D )

Srooti and Onu: Hindustan Park, Sparsh.

Us: Sparsh

Onu and Me: Durgabari

Me: 21 pally.

Augnivo and Roop: Just outside Durgabari.

Riya and Deba: Painting the town Red.

And here are the idolpics. Do you like them? The first one is one of those cartoonish, unconventional, cute idols. The second is the conventional devi. You can get a slight idea of the grandeur accompanying the festival here from the second pic. :)

I'm off to another evening of flitting about town.
PS: I made this gauzyflower pendant before going out last evening. In case you didn't notice it, scroll up, it's right there in the pics.

Likey?

See ya folks later. :) Have fun.
