Saptami is when we're past the first day of pujo. It is the afternoon of the Puja-being. Past infanthood, on the brink of adulthood... :)
Pujo adolescence.
We met up at Jodhpur Park, one of the most swanky localities in the city, quite close to my place and beautiful. They had a pandal that looked like a Lego structure. :)
Then we visited the Selimpur Pally pandal, which is always among the most innovative ones in the city. This year it's wood filigree. The main pandal was made of wooden planks nailed haphazardly together.

Then, of course we went off to Maddox Square. Maddox Square, typically, is the coolest hangout spot in all of Kolkata during the pujo. It is where the best fashion can be spotted, the hottest girls/guys seen, the coolest guys/girls seen, the classiest sarees noticed and the best of the pujo ambience bits soaked up. And, no offense but, I need must say this: No one but a Kolkatan shall ever know what Maddox Square, or what we call Pagla Shaar Chouko(Pagla=bong for Mad, Shaar for Ox and Chouko for Square), feels like.
