Savage Thrust were one of the many thrash bands of the 80's that just didnt make it. This band however are among the standouts in that category, hell this album blows away anything fellow New Yorkers Anthrax ever did. The fact that they didnt get this, their first and only full length out until 1990 probably didnt help, which was the same problem that Forbidden had. Savage Thrust could have been a mean force to be reckoned with had this album came out at least a few years earlier, but despite that, it still remains an overlooked thrash classic. Fans of Forbidden, Flotsam and Jetsam, and Overkill, this is for you.
