Atomizer - Caustic Music for the Spiritually Bankrupt

This is the last album by this melbourne black thrash squad, aaaaaand they had already broken up by the time i had heard this, and it is still the only recording i have yet heard from them, which makes me feel like an idiot for trying to write anything about them. Well like i said they are from Australia and, at least on this album they don't really sound anything like your Destroyer 666's or your Bestial Warlust's and for the fact that the material sounds pretty original i give them credit.

caustic

Misery - A Necessary Evil

Here we have the 93 debut of this vastly underrated Austrian death metal band. Sure they may have gotten a bit of a late start (not putting out demos until 92) and they havent been the most prolific band, aaaaaaand i havent heard their most recent output, but this is a damn fine album that any death metal fan should hear. Excellent brutal mid paced with lots of groove, solid musicianship and songwriting thats up to par with the greats.

excellent misery

Greg Giraldo - Good Day to Cross a River

You might know Greg Giraldo from the majority of the comedy central "roasts", if you aren't too familiar with stand up comedy but as somebody that is, man he was one of my favorite comics. Top 5 easy. His recent passing was a sad day for me, and im sure im far from the only one that misses him. He left an important mark on the standup comedy scene and was truly funny and talented. Wasn't afraid to tell it like it is. I remember purchasing this cd when it came out and laughing my tits off, and the true magic is that i STILL do every time i listen to it. Classic. If you are one of those idiots that still only knows who Dane Cook is, you need this in your life.

RIP Greg
